Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, companion choice, study goal, grade level, progress, points, streaks, and usage data. We may also collect device and analytics information to improve the app experience.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your information to provide and personalize Daily Whisk, save your learning progress, sync your account, improve lessons, troubleshoot issues, and maintain account or subscription access. We may also use your email address to send you service announcements about your account, and occasional updates about Daily Whisk. Every update email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time — opting out never affects your account or the service announcements it needs.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with trusted service providers, such as Firebase and hosting or analytics tools, only to operate and improve the app.

4. Data Retention

We keep your information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Some information may be retained longer when required for security, legal, or operational reasons.

5. Your Rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information. You can delete your account and its learning data yourself from Profile → Delete Account in the app. For any other request, or if you can't sign in, email us at hello@dailywhisk.app from the address on your account.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

This website uses one optional analytics tool, HeyCatch, to understand how the site is used — which pages people read and which links they follow — so we can make it clearer. It is loaded only if you accept on the banner shown on your first visit. Until you do, nothing is loaded, nothing is stored, and nothing is sent. Declining keeps the site working exactly the same, and you can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.

If you accept, HeyCatch stores an identifier in your browser so repeat visits can be recognised as the same visitor, and sends page and click events to its own servers. It tells us nothing about who you are — we do not send it your name or email address from this website.

One small piece of local storage is used regardless: we remember the choice you made on that banner, so you are not asked on every page. Remembering a refusal is not something we can ask permission for, and it never leaves your browser.

The Daily Whisk apps store data on your device to keep you signed in and to save your progress between sessions. That is part of how the app works rather than tracking.
